We are a high energy samba band based in Sydney.
The styles of samba we play are uplifting, joyful and vibrant. Batucada, Samba Reggae, Maracatu and more...
We love to play at festivals, parties, events, gigs, weddings, community events and anywhere else we can make some noise and get the party started! We also perform regularly with the fabulous Brazilian style dancers at The Samba Exchange and are members of Umbela Brasil, a global collaboration between professional artists, dancers and drummers.

November 15 2008 - Walk against Warming parade, 11am CBD - starting at Martin Place, Sydney. We'll parade whilst drumming and join thousands of families, workplaces and
communities in a walk for renewable energy and a safe climate future for our
children. With vital decisions being made this year, we will Walk Against
Warming to ensure the Australian Government supports strong, urgent action and
justice for
developing nations affected by global warming.

September 21 2008 - Ritmo Brazilian Festival, Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, Samba Ninja teamed up with King Parrot Samba, Sambalouco and Samba Frog to form a 50 or more strong bateria. The drummers backed up Brazilian-style dancers in what was believed to be Ritmo's very first performance of a Maracatu. Thanks to Susie from The Samba Exchange for organising such an awsome event!
